Sustainability practices at our activations
- We encourage visitors to our activations to travel to them via public transport rather than by car
- All of our visitor communications are paperless
- We prioritise suppliers who use compostable or recyclable packaging
- At least 70% of materials used in our installations including infrastructure, props and decorations are recycled from our previous projects
- Materials used are recycled and/or donated to our charity partners following an activation if they cannot be re-used by us
Use of balloons at our installations
-
When used responsibly, balloons bring joy, however we recognise the threat to wildlife of irresponsible balloon handling
- We employ trained balloon handlers
- We do not release any balloons into the atmosphere
-
Our balloon installations are used indoors only, and are not accessible by the public
-
We only uses balloons in its installations that are biodegradable and photodegradable. They biodegrade at about the same rate asan oak leaf
-
Our Qualatex balloons are supplied by a member of the Pro Environment Balloon Alliance
-
Latex balloons help prevent deforestation by making rubber trees economically viable.Latex harvesting combats global warming by reducing carbon dioxide from the air
-
Where possible we deflate and re-use balloons at multiple installations
-
At the end of use, we cut our balloons into small pieces and dispose of them responsibly into compost or landfill
- We do not use mylar foil balloons
- We do not use helium
Use of tinsel at our installations
The tinsel used at our Christmas activations is partially sourced second-hand (around 50%) at op shops and on Marketplace and re-used at each of our events.
